Maryville is in need of new blankets or quilts (small to medium in size) for our residents.  When new residents arrive, we like to welcome them with a new quilt that they can put over their lap or carry with them when they travel within the building to various activities.  For more information, please contact Cathy Edwards, Admissions Director at (503) 643-8626 or cedwards@ssmoministries.org

Maryville is having an Art Fair!  Residents, family members, staff, and volunteers are welcome to share their artwork on Thursday, August 20th from 10:30-3pm.  Any genre is accepted.  The artwork will be displayed in the main lounge.  For more information, contact Hilee Jackson at (503) 718-5316 or email hjackson@ssmoministries.org

A big hit this year has been our residents making home made ice cream.  We will be setting up the machines on Monday, July 13, Tuesday, July 28, and Monday, Aug. 24, so come on over and help us churn the cream!  We will start around 10:30am in the activities room.

Please join us on Tuesday, July 21st between 11-1pm for chili dogs and some delicious home baked goods.  Maryville participates in several fundraisers each year for the Alzheimers Association.  We will have all the  treats in the lobby area.  See you there!

Come join us for a walk in the park on Thursday, July 23.  We will stop off for a picnic lunch and take time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

Tuesday, July 14th, Maryville residents will have the opportunity to have a picnic in the park with the Sunflowers and Daisies of Valley Catholic’s Early Learning Development Center, on the beautiful grounds of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon.  We love sharing our lunch and watching the children play in the park.

Some of the residents at Maryville are really looking forward to Friday, July 10th when we will have our annual Picnic and Fishing trip to Lee’s-U-Catch Farm in Vernonia.  We will be bringing back some of the fish so we can have a fish fry on Friday, Aug. 7th.
