Maryville will be selling Chili Dogs on Tuesday, June 23rd to raise money for the Alzheimers Association. Come on by and help out the cause!
Maryville will host a Father’s Day Brunch for residents and their families on Saturday June 13th from 9:30am to 12pm.
Thursday, June 4th marks the 46th year of “Service with Love” at Maryville Nursing Home. Come join us for a celebration BBQ starting at 11:30am in our main lounge area.
It is that time of year when Maryville selects a resident from each unit to serve on our Rose Festival Court. Candidate selection ends on June 1, and then beginning on June 2nd there will be a ballot box at the front desk where everyone is able to vote. The Coronation Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 12th at 1:30pm in the Main Lounge. Everyone is invited to join in for this very special event.
National Nursing Home Week is a nation-wide celebration that begins each year on the Sunday of Mother’s Day and runs through the Saturday of Armed Forces Day. It began in 1967 as a way for nursing homes and the community to work together. Maryville uses this week as a celebration of its residents, to honor volunteers and staff, and to invite resident families and the campus to attend fun activities. We are very excited to announce that the Bel Canto Women’s Choir from Azusa Pacific University will perform at Maryville on Thursday, May 14th at 3:30pm in our main lounge. The choir is directed by David Hughes.
Maryville is partnering with the Martha & Mary Ministries who will coordinate a “No One Dies Alone” program. Volunteers are needed to serve as companions to residents through the last hours of their lives.
Pat Cary, Executive Director of Martha & Mary Ministries, will offer information sessions on Tuesday June 23 at 10:30am and 7pm.
