Congratulations to Virginia Delgado who was chosen Employee of the Month.  Virginia is a very conscientious and dedicated worker.  She is always ready to do whatever is asked of her, without hesitation or complaint.  She has a great smile and a wonderful personality.  Virginia  has worked at Maryville since 2007 in the Housekeeping Department.  She is well liked by the staff and family members, and her supervisor receives many compliments about her work and interaction with the residents. 

Virginia is very deserving of this recognition and Maryville is fortunate to have her as an employee.

Every year Maryville participates in National Nursing Home Week with fun events.  We welcome you to come and join us Sunday, May 10 through Saturday May 16 in this celebration.  Some of the scheduled events include:

Sunday:  Mother’s Day Tea with entertainment from 2-4pm

Monday: Casino Fun at 1:30pm

Tuesday: 50’s Theme Day, Koffee Klutch from 9:30-11am, American Idol/Karaoke at 1:30pm

Wednesday: Volunteer Recognition Tea at 10:30am, Meet & Greet/Root beer floats at 3:30pm

Thursday: Hawaiian Theme Day, Wii Bowling Competition at 1:30pm, Bel Canto Women’s Choir from Azusa Pacific University to perform at 3:30pm

Friday:  Jean Day, BBQ at 12pm, Valley Catholic Jazz Band and Ice Cream Social at 1:30pm

Saturday:  Salute to the Troops Video Documentary at 10:30am

Monday through Saturday Mass will start at 9:45am beginning on May 4th.  Sunday Mass will continue to start at 10am.

The Maryville community would like to thank Panzer Nurseries for the donation of white azaleas.  Our maintenance staff is busy planting them around our facility so everyone can enjoy them year after year.  What a wonderful gift.  We are truly blessed!

The Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon campus front lawn was featured as the “Best Ever” lawn in Beaverton on the cover of the 2009 Portrait magazine. Portrait is published by Pamplin Media Group annually as a souvenir edition of the Beaverton Valley Times and The Times, serving Tigard, Tualatin and Sherwood.
