Tuesday, Feb. 17 was the Big Day!  Maryville had its Annual Sweetheart Ball in the main lounge.  The Beaverton Mayor’s Youth Group joined us again this year.  We enjoyed music from Westview High School Jazz band.  For a great wrap up of the night from the Beaverton Valley Times, click here.

Please join Maryville residents for a Valentine Party scheduled on Friday, February 13th.  We will meet in the lounge at 1:30pm and be entertained by Gordon the Piano man.

Maryville will hold their annual Valentine Sale on Thursday and Friday (Feb. 12-13) from 10am until 4pm.  Staff and Residents have been busy getting ready for this special event.  We will have our famous heart cookies, flowers, special cards, gift bags, chocolates, and many other items available for sale in the lobby area.

Leonila “Leo” Ebuen has been chosen as February Employee of the Month at Maryville.  Leo worked as a CNA at Maryville for 8 years before she pursued her nursing degree.  She had earned her Bachelor’s degree in the Philippines and then after working as a CNA here, she was able to get her credentials transferred to the United States so she could work as a RN.  Leo has worked at Maryville for 20 years.

Leo is very caring of her residents and their families.  She makes special trips to visit staff and residents when they are in the hospital and comes in on her own time to visit and sit with families in crisis.  She makes calls on her days off to inform the CNA’s and other staff of issues she is concerned about.  Leo states that her heart is in Maryville’s Center Unit and that is evident in the way she cares for her residents.

We are honored to have Leo as a RN on Center Unit.  She is well deserved of this award.
