Michael Kilbury
Michael grew up in Little Rock, AR where he attended Catholic High School for Boys. He went on to attain his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rhodes in Memphis, TN. After college Michael hiked the entirety of the Appalachian Trail (2,163 miles in 1997), raising funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis. He moved to the Pacific NW in 1998 and fell in love with Portland and its surroundings. After some traveling, Michael moved back to the Portland area in 2002 and dragged with him, Margaret, his soon to be wife. They now live in NE Portland and have two children, Levi and Adele. Michael became the Boys Tennis Coach at Valley Catholic in 2006 while also working full time with children and families in Multnomah County. In 2009 Michael began working at Maryville as a social worker and realized what a great place he had happened upon. He is currently working towards completion of an Administrator in Training program at Maryville and also serves as the Administrator for Maryville Memory Care which opened in October of 2011. Michael enjoys spending time with his family and exposing them to the wonders that the Pacific NW has to offer.
